Carrie serves as one of Working with Government’s three founding partners.

Carrie SimmonsPrior to joining Working with Government, LLC, Carrie worked as an independent political consultant since 2007.  Her past professional experience includes work in the United States Senate, the Executive Office of the President, as an in-house corporate lobbyist and as a consultant in the non-profit sector serving the Capitol Hill community. Carrie brings to Working with Government the unique background of having worked with all four of these cross sections of the political community in Washington D.C.

Originally from Pensacola, Florida, Carrie has worked in politics in Washington D.C. since graduating from The University of Alabama in 1997.

Her professional experience began in the office of Senator Connie Mack (R-FL) beginning as a staff assistant and working her way up to the position of Legislative Assistant for appropriations.

Upon Senator Mack’s retirement in 2000, Carrie served as a Legislative Assistant for Senator John Ensign (R-NV), before moving over to the White House as the Senate Deputy for Legislative Affairs at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) from 2002-2004.

After the 2004 elections, Carrie worked for the The Coca-Cola Company as the Senior Manager for government affairs in the Washington D.C. office. Her responsibilities included advocating and educating on behalf of the company to Congress and the Administration on all public policy priorities for the company.

Carrie lives in Arlington, Virginia with her husband Kyle and their young daughter Ava.
